The Master of Education Program
The Master of Education provides enriched learning experiences for educational professionals who already have a bachelor’s degree and who want to extend their knowledge and professional qualifications in the field of education. Candidates in M.Ed. programs are expected to be able to draw upon their bachelor’s degree and life experience while acquiring advanced professional knowledge and skills.
An advanced leadership program designed to prepare candidates for positions in educational administration, with an emphasis on K-12 school administration.
This program serves teachers and other educational practitioners who want advanced knowledge of leadership and classroom practice, but who do not currently aspire to become principals or administrators.
This program prepares candidates for a wide range of professional objectives by offering the advanced study of developmental theory, research and application. Graduates of the program are expected to be lifelong learners and advocates for children.
The Master of Education with Montessori Emphasis is intended for students who have a Montessori credential from a free-standing MACTE accredited institution and want to continue learning within the Montessori context.

Hawaii Department of Education (DOE) CISL Cohort
This program is designed to deliver the DOE required core courses for DOE personnel who have been accepted into the Department’s Certification Institute for School Leaders Program. This is a non-licensure program because licenses are granted by the DOE. Contact the Education Division to learn about the next cohort start dates.
Teach for America
Each year in partnership with the Teach for America – Hawai`i program, Chaminade offers Master of Arts in Teaching programs with licensure in elementary and secondary education. KALO M.Ed. Cohort Program
Under a partnership between the Kanu o ka `Aina Learning `Ohana (KALO) and the Education Division of Chaminade University, this Master’s program is intended for faculty, staff and administrators employed at KALO member institutions. For more information, please visit www.kalo.org.
Degree-seeking students applying for this graduate program should have completed a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with the minimum GPA of 2.75 (on a 4.00 scale).
Applicants must submit all required doumentation before an admission decision is granted. Applications requirements include application fee, official transcripts, and letters of recommendation. The application deadline is 30 days prior to the start date of the term.
